Wapsie Valley won the last time they faced Oelwein and things went their way on Friday too. The Warriors put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 8-1 win. Considering the Warriors have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Wapsie Valley pushed their record up to 22-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Oelwein, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.

Looking ahead, Wapsie Valley will challenge Clayton-Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oelwein has already played their next contest (against Postville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
