Logan extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. They came out on top against the Clay County Panthers by a score of 14-6. The 14-point effort marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Logan found their leader in sophomore Luvante Kenney, who rushed for 150 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries. Those 150 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Kenney.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Logan proved: they limited Clay County to a paltry 2.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Braxton Wolford for the heroic effort on defense: he. Logan didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.1.

Logan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off six passes before the game was over. Easton Craddock led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by himself.

As for Clay County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3. They gained 151 more yards on the day, but it was Logan that made the best use of them.

Clay County's loss came despite strong showings from Joel Elliott and Jakoby Nichols. Elliott picked up 184 receiving yards and one touchdown, while Nichols picked up 102 receiving yards. Cooper Collins was another key player, having thrown for 362 yards and onetouchdown.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Logan will challenge Scott at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clay County, they will face off against Calhoun at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Red Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 45.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
