Baseball Recap: Prospect Mountain Comes Up Short

Prospect Mountain fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Campbell on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of Campbell by a score of 3-1. The contest marked the Apaches' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Prospect Mountain's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5. As for Campbell, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Prospect Mountain will challenge rival Raymond at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Campbell is set to take on their familiar foe Monadnock at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Campbell 3.3, Monadnock 1.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
