Basketball Recap: Washington Union Takes a Loss

Washington Union lost against Chowchilla last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Washington Union Panthers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 32-31 to the Chowchilla Tribe. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Washington Union lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jade Holland, who posted 12 points. That was a full 38.7% of Washington Union's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Janae Barlow, who put up ten points.

Washington Union's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Chowchilla, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Washington Union didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-14 win against Dos Palos on the 21st. Chowchilla has also already played their next match, a 32-26 defeat against Firebaugh on the 21st.
