Soccer Game Preview: Sierra vs. Hilmar

The Sierra Timberwolves will wrap up 2025 with a road trip to face off against the Hilmar Yellowjackets at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Sierra's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Wednesday, Sierra didn't have quite enough to beat Oakdale and fell 3-2. That's two games in a row now that Sierra have lost by just one goal.

Natalie Ruvalcaba and Diana Reyes scored both of Sierra's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Meanwhile, Hilmar and Ripon finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw last Friday.

Sierra's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. With that draw, Hilmar's record moves to 8-3-2.

Everything went Sierra's way against Hilmar in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as Sierra made off with a 6-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Timberwolves since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
