Baseball Recap: DuQuoin Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact DuQuoin can now relate to. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Herrin Tigers on Wednesday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Indians, who until this contest were averaging 3.58 runs allowed.

Carter Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Siefert, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

DuQuoin's defeat dropped their record down to 24-7. As for Herrin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-17.

As of now, neither DuQuoin nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
