Basketball Recap: Canyon Hills Takes a Loss

After flying high against Clairemont last Friday, Canyon Hills came back down to earth. The Canyon Hills Rattlers took a blow against the Lincoln Hornets on Tuesday, falling 74-11. The Rattlers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2019.

Natalie Mihajlovic was Canyon Hills' leading scorer, having posted three points. Kaela Sancha took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Asia Darcuiel continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lincoln, putting up 24 points and eight steals. Darcuiel has been hot recently, having posted six or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jadie Bowers, who posted 14 points and three steals.

Canyon Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Lincoln, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5.

Canyon Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 39-34 win against Kearny on the 17th. As for Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Clairemont on the 17th.
