Basketball Recap: Mooresville Drops Highest Score of Season Against West Rowan

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mooresville). They blew past the West Rowan Falcons 82-61 on Tuesday. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

West Rowan's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josiah Young, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 18 points in addition to six boards and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamier Angle, who went 6-for-8 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds.

Mooresville's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for West Rowan, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Mooresville will take on Lake Norman Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for West Rowan, they will face off against North Iredell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
