Basketball Recap: West York Area Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for West York Area, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 52-45 victory over the Susquehannock Warriors on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Warriors back in December of 2024, they had to take a 61-50 defeat.

Despite the loss, Susquehannock had strong showings from Annie Laubach, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 14 points and three steals, and Elena Snyder, who went 5 for 9 en route to 15 points and five boards. The match was Snyder's third in a row with at least ten points. Erin Jackson was another key player, putting up two points.

West York Area has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Susquehannock, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.

West York Area has already played their next contest (against Exeter Township), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Susquehannock will take on Northern York at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Northern York's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so Susquehannock's offense will have their work cut out for them.
