After only two runs in their last contest, Fairland made sure to put some runs up on the board against Mounds on Thursday. The Owls were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Golden Eagles. Considering the Owls have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Fairland has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Mounds, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-15.

Fairland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-1 defeat against Newkirk on the 26th. As for Mounds, they have also already played their next matchup, a 12-0 loss against Wyandotte on the 25th.
