Basketball Game Preview: Boiling Springs Bubblers vs. Trinity Shamrocks

Boiling Springs hasn't had much luck against Trinity recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Boiling Springs Bubblers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trinity Shamrocks at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Trinity will be up against a hot Boiling Springs team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. Boiling Springs put the hurt on Bishop McDevitt with a sharp 54-34 win on Friday. Given the Bubblers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Crusaders are ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Trinity had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 62-27 victory over the Rockets.

Boiling Springs pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.9 points per game. As for Trinity, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
