Volleyball Recap: Eustis Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Eustis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Altamonte Christian Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on Monday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Eustis sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 22-25, 25-20, 27-29, 15-13.

Altamonte Christian found their leader in sophomore Valeria Marte, who had 29 kills and eight aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Hoberg, who had nine aces.

Eustis' defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Altamonte Christian, their victory ended a seven-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-14.

Eustis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against East Ridge on the 30th. As for Altamonte Christian, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against The First Academy on the 30th.
