Softball Recap: Iowa Valley Drops Highest Score of Season Against Lynnville-Sully

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Iowa Valley). They put the hurt on the Lynnville-Sully Hawks with a sharp 19-5 win on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Iowa Valley's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-11. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Lynnville-Sully, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 16 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Lynnville-Sully has already played their next contest, a 9-1 loss against Grand View Christian on the 3rd. Hopefully Iowa Valley paid attention to the Hawks' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Hawks on Monday.
