Softball Recap: Adairsville Tigers vs. Wheeler Wildcats

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Adairsville). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wheeler Wildcats an 18-0 shutout on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Chloe Hill made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Maddie Baggett was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Lillianne Gunter, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
