Baseball Recap: Chapel Hill Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Chapel Hill's offense. They came up short against the Carrollton Trojans on Tuesday, falling 9-0. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Chapel Hill got a good showing from Kevin De Los Santos, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Santos a new career-low.

On the hitting side, Chapel Hill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stephan Paul Jr, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Carrollton, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

While Chapel Hill had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday.
