Softball Recap: Riverwood Takes a Loss

Riverwood fell victim to Creekview and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Grizzlies, falling 7-0. The Raiders have struggled against the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

May Weis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on 11 hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Riverwood's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Creekview, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Riverwood will challenge rival Sprayberry at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Creekview is set to face off against their familiar foe Lassiter at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
