Softball Recap: Briarwood Academy Comes Up Short

Briarwood Academy and Gatewood squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Briarwood Academy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Gators by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Gators this season, with their most recent loss being a 15-10 defeat back in September.

Briarwood Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Gatewood, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Briarwood Academy nor Gatewood have any future games scheduled.
