Eastern is 9-1 against Austin since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Musketeers will venture away from home to square off against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Eastern has given up an average of 16 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
While Eastern's win against Paoli wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Musketeers had just enough and edged out the Rams 16-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Musketeers have posted since April 15, 2025.

Eastern let Adriana Dolleris and Allie Johanningsmeier run wild. Dolleris went 1-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double, while Johanningsmeier got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two runs gave Dolleris a new career-high. Avery Shields also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
Eastern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of Springs Valley.
Teagan Cutshall and Julia Harris did some serious damage despite the final result: Cutshall went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Harris got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Ousley, who went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Austin's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Eastern, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
Eastern beat Austin 6-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Musketeers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
