Baseball Recap: Rome Takes a Loss

Rome managed to slip by Kennesaw Mountain the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rome Wolves might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to the Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wolves just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Rome saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nevin Boswell, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave Boswell a new career-high.

Rome's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Kennesaw Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

While Rome had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Monday.
