Karena Eberts was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. The contest was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Annie Lindberg, who scored five points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Maria Carrillo didn't have too much trouble with Granada at home on Saturday as they won 59-42. Given Maria Carrillo's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Granada is ranked 880th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Miramonte's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Maria Carrillo, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Miramonte beat Maria Carrillo 67-57 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Miramonte since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
