Basketball Recap: Ambridge Comes Up Short

Ambridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 53-15 defeat at the hands of the Hopewell Vikings. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bridgers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-8 back in January.

Hopewell got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alyssa Spang out in front who posted 11 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Avery Boyd, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 11 points.

Ambridge's record now sits at 2-10. As for Hopewell, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.

Ambridge has already played their next match (against Hampton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hopewell has already played their next game, a 63-33 victory against Rochester on the 1st.
