Softball Game Preview: Berkmar Patriots vs. Discovery Titans

The Berkmar Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Discovery Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Berkmar has given up an average of 25.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Berkmar came up short against Meadowcreek on Monday, falling 26-16.

Meanwhile, Discovery had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Titans have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kendall Cross was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Michaela Sartin, who went 1-for-3 with three runs.

Discovery hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

The victory got Discovery back to even at 6-6. As for Berkmar, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Berkmar might still be hurting after the 23-0 loss they got from Discovery in their previous matchup on September 4th. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
