Baseball Game Preview: Rabun County Wildcats vs. Chestatee War Eagles

The Rabun County Wildcats will challenge the Chestatee War Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Rabun County took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Towns County as they made off with an 11-1 victory. Considering the Wildcats' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Chestatee won against East Hall on Monday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The War Eagles were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over West Hall. The result was nothing new for the War Eagles, who have now won three matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Rabun County pushed their record up to 1-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Chestatee, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
