Softball Recap: Washington Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

There's no place like home for Washington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let the Norman Tigers get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Thursday. Considering the Warriors have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Washington's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Norman, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Washington and Norman will both be playing Bridge Creek the next time they take the field. The Warriors will host the Bobcats at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 1:45 p.m. on Friday.
