The Monache Marauders will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against the Tehachapi Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Tehachapi took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Monache, who comes in off a win.
Monache took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 49-19 victory over Dinuba. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-6.

Monache's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but London Haynes led the charge by dropping a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. The Marauders are undefeated when Haynes posts ten or more boards, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Shelley Andrade, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Monache smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January.
Meanwhile, Tehachapi lost to Bakersfield Christian at home by a 54-39 margin on Wednesday.
Monache will have to contain Koree Rodden as she made an impact in Tehachapi's last game. She posted 14 points and seven boards. That was a full 35.9% of Tehachapi's points, marking the fifth time in a row Rodden has put up more than a third of the team's points. Gabby Bonffil was another key player, putting up 11 points and six rebounds.
Monache pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points over those games. As for Tehachapi, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Monache has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Tehachapi struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Monache against Tehachapi in their previous matchup back in February, as the team secured a 58-25 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Marauders since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
