Softball Game Preview: Lee's Summit Tigers vs. Blue Springs South Jaguars

The Lee's Summit Tigers will face off against the Blue Springs South Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Lee's Summit 3.7, Blue Springs South 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Lee's Summit is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Missouri's top teams: Raymore-Peculiar, who was ranked second at the time (Lee's Summit was ranked ninth). The Tigers took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers last Monday. The Tigers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Blue Springs South took on Raymore-Peculiar on Monday. The Jaguars fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Jaguars have suffered since September 9, 2024.

Emma Dragon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Blue Springs South saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyndall Armstrong, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Lee's Summit's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Blue Springs South, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-11.
