Andover extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 4-2. They enjoyed a cozy 42-27 win over the Newton Railroaders. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Trojans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Railroaders are ranked 130th).

As for Newton, their record is now 0-6. They have struggled against Andover recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Newton's loss came despite strong showings from Kolbie Espada and Landyn Rains. Espada rushed for 45 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Rains picked up 84 receiving yards and one score.

Looking ahead, Andover will square off against Salina Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs' defense has only allowed 13.3 points per game this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Newton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hutchinson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
