Preview: Woodland Wolves vs. Casa Roble Rams
The Woodland Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Casa Roble Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Woodland and 11 for Casa Roble.
Woodland suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 80-10 loss at the hands of Pioneer. Woodland has not had much luck with Pioneer recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Casa Roble, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 42-26 loss to Mira Loma on Friday.
Casa Roble's defeat came about despite a quality game from Savannah Sanders, who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Sanders scored 15 or more points.
Woodland's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-13. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.8 points per game. As for Casa Roble, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 14 of their last 15 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-19 record this season.
Woodland was taken down by Casa Roble 61-25 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Woodland, Maya Chisholm (who scored 28 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
