Baseball Game Preview: Lakeview Honkers vs. Vale Vikings

The Lakeview Honkers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Vale Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeview's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Vale's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Lakeview's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Monday, when they got past La Pine's usually-dominant pitching crew. The Honkers put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 12-3 victory. The Honkers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by nine runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Vale fell victim to Burns and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Hilanders, falling 16-0. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Hilanders: they've now lost six in a row.

Lakeview now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Vale, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Lakeview skirted past Vale 3-2 when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Do the Honkers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
