After a string of three wins, St. Mary's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the West Monona Spartans by a score of 5-3. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

St. Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for West Monona, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

St. Mary's will venture away from home to face off against George-Little Rock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for West Monona, they have already played their next contest, a 10-1 win against River Valley on the 20th.
