Basketball Recap: Conwell-Egan Catholic Takes a Loss

After flying high against Little Flower Catholic for Girls last Tuesday, Conwell-Egan Catholic came back down to earth. The Conwell-Egan Catholic Eagles took a 47-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bensalem Fighting Owls. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Fighting Owls: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the loss, Conwell-Egan Catholic still got an impressive performance from Lily Milewski, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. Milewski is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last 14 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brianna Jackson, who posted 12 points and three steals.

Conwell-Egan Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Bensalem, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Conwell-Egan Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-37 victory against Brooklyn Law & Tech on the 18th. As for Bensalem, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-48 win against William Tennent on the 17th.
