Basketball Recap: First Academy Eagles vs. Legacy Charter Eagles
First Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 79-40 loss at the hands of the Legacy Charter Eagles. While losing is never fun, First Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 799th, while Legacy Charter is ranked 189th).

Despite the loss, First Academy had strong showings from Rhett Walsh, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals, and Logan Stalvey, who went 5 of 12 en route to 12 points and eight boards. That's the most steals Walsh has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayce Teate, who posted seven points.

First Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Legacy Charter, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.
First Academy has already played their next matchup, a 77-19 loss against Trinity Christian Academy on the 3rd. As for Legacy Charter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 84-51 win against Geneva on the 3rd.
