Soccer Recap: Spencer Comes Up Short

Spencer fought the good fight in their overtime match against Sumter County on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. That's two games in a row now that Spencer have lost by exactly two goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Spencer and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Sumter County, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Spencer wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Shaw on the 18th. As for Sumter County, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-3 loss against Carver on the 18th.
