Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Extends Winning Streak to Four

Heritage Christian had won three straight games and Levi Hermsen did his part to make it four on Friday. The Heritage Christian Eagles blew past the Clear Creek Golddiggers 60-27 thanks in part to Hermsen, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 19 points in addition to six assists and six steals. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Alec Lundy, who posted 11 points and eight steals. Those eight steals gave him a new career-high.

Clear Creek's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Donovan Miller, who went 5 of 11 en route to 12 points and three steals.

Heritage Christian pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Clear Creek, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Heritage Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 78-49 victory against Union Colony Prep on the 28th. As for Clear Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-48 loss against Dawson School on the 31st.
