Soccer Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Albany's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Albany kept a clean sheet against Pinole Valley on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Pinole Valley Spartans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in December of 2024.

Caroline Alanis and Gemma Jusseaume scored both of Albany's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Albany has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-1-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those five contests. As for Pinole Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albany will face off against Bentley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Albany is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.2 goals per game this season. As for Pinole Valley, they will square off against Bethel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
