Soccer Game Preview: Kerman vs. Clovis East

The Kerman Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Clovis East Timberwolves at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clovis East took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Kerman, who comes in off a win.

Clovis East better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Kerman really get things going. Kerman never let Madera onto the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Thursday. Considering the Lions have won four matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Madera from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Baylee Melgoza led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, after soaring to nine goals the game before, Clovis East was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They fell just short of Bullard by a score of 1-0. The Timberwolves have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Clovis East now has a losing record at 2-3-3. As for Kerman, their win bumped their record up to 6-1-3.

Kerman might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Clovis East in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Kerman avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
