Preview: Jefferson Grizzlies vs. Capuchino Mustangs

Jefferson is 0-4 against Capuchino since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Jefferson Grizzlies will be playing at home against the Capuchino Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Jefferson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.

Even though Jefferson has not done well against Westmoor recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Jefferson strolled past Westmoor with points to spare, taking the game 46-32.

Jefferson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Grace Wang out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Wang is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Jerzey Gallegos was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Meanwhile, Capuchino's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 41-23 bruising from Sequoia.

Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Capuchino, their loss was their ninth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-13.

Jefferson might still be hurting after the 52-30 defeat they got from Capuchino when the teams last played back in November of 2018. Thankfully for Jefferson, Melesungu Afeaki (who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
