Volleyball Recap: South Cobb Victorious

South Cobb won the last time they faced Coretta Scott King YWLA and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Soaring Eagle. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant South Cobb was: they took both sets by at least 19 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-6.

Samira Washington paced South Cobb's offense, picking up five kills. Washington got some help from Nikaiya Wilson and her nine assists. Washington was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

The win got South Cobb back to even at 6-6. As for Coretta Scott King YWLA, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, South Cobb will be playing at home against Harrison at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coretta Scott King YWLA, they will venture away from home to challenge KIPP Atlanta Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
