Softball Recap: Holden Wins Going Away Against Lexington

Holden won the last time they faced Lexington and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eagles put the hurt on the Minutemen with a sharp 12-2 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Holden and bumps their season record up to 8-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Lexington, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holden will challenge Lafayette County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Lexington, they will face off against Marshall at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
