Meanwhile, Eaglecrest faced Fort Collins in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Raptors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Lambkins. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raptors.
Eaglecrest got a massive performance out of Lexi Barger, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryleigh Stufft, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Valor Christian's record now sits at 16-10. As for Eaglecrest, their record is now 20-5.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Valor Christian hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Eaglecrest struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
