Basketball Recap: Armijo Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Losses at Home

There's no place like home for Armijo, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They breezed by the Valley Vikings to the tune of 56-25 on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Royals as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Armijo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mariza Supapo, who posted 13 points and five steals. Malia Moli was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.

Armijo's win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Armijo will face off against Florin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Armijo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Valley, they will take on West Campus at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Campus will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
