Eastside has no trouble against Antelope Valley

The Eastside Lions waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with nine straight wins but they left with ten. They blew past Antelope Valley 78-56. Eastside has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 22 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Antelope Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Niya Price. Despite the final result, she scored 32 points. That was a full 57.1% of Antelope Valley's points, marking the 13th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lacei Brown, who scored nine points.

Eastside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Antelope Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastside will take on Palmdale at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palmdale will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1049th, while Eastside is ranked 265th). As for Antelope Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Quartz Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
