Basketball Game Preview: Truckee Wolverines vs. Spring Creek Spartans + How To Watch

The Truckee Wolverines will take on the Spring Creek Spartans in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Truckee lost to Dayton on the road by a 36-21 margin.

Despite the loss, Truckee had strong showings from Elsa Voegele, who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and four blocks, and Sophia Killian, who put up seven points. Voegele has been hot, having posted two or more blocks the last five times she's played.

Meanwhile, Spring Creek came up short against South Tahoe on Saturday and fell 50-37.

Spring Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Truckee, they dropped their record down to 5-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Truckee couldn't quite get it done against Spring Creek when the teams last played back in December of 2024 as they fell 33-22. Can the Wolverines avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
