Football Recap: Parkdale Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Parkdale fell victim to Oxon Hill and their airtight defense on Saturday. They were outmatched by the Clippers and fell 56-0. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 44-0 to the Clippers when the teams met back in September of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

A big part of Oxon Hill's victory came down to the chemistry between Amir Elder and his top target Kyre Grays. Elder threw for 168 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes while Grays gained 122 total yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Elder a new career-high in passer rating (157.9).

Parkdale dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Oxon Hill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Parkdale will face off against Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Oxon Hill, they will take on Flowers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Jaguars will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
