Soccer Recap: Palo Alto Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Palo Alto can now relate to. They fell just short of the Mountain View Spartans by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Palo Alto's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Mountain View, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Palo Alto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mountain View, they will take on Menlo School on Saturday. Menlo School will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Mountain View surely won't give up without a fight.
