Soccer Recap: Cabrillo Takes a Loss

Cabrillo came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Santa Ynez Pirates, falling 3-0. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Cabrillo couldn't quite close it out.

Cabrillo's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9-1. As for Santa Ynez, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-1-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Cabrillo and Santa Ynez will both be playing Mission College Prep the next time they take the pitch. The Conquistadores will host the Royals at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Pirates will host them at 6:00 p.m. on the 20th.
