Baseball Recap: Westwood Comes Up Short

Westwood lost against Tiftarea Academy back in March of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 7-6. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westwood saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Roberts, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another was Karson Barwick, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Westwood's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Tiftarea Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-13.

Looking ahead, Westwood will venture away from home to square off against Terrell Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tiftarea Academy, they will host Stratford Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
