Football Recap: Kings' Undefeated Season over After Five Games

If Kings was riding high fresh off their 31-0 takedown of West Clermont last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights lost 49-24 to the Anderson Raptors on Friday. The Knights have struggled against the Raptors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Anderson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Owen Scalf, who threw for 413 yards and seven TDs while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 43 yards. With that strong performance, Scalf is now averaging an impressive 3.6 passing touchdowns per game. Anderson's leading receiver Tysin Weaver was Scalf's top target yet again, picking up 190 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

Having lost for the first time this season, Kings fell to 4-1. As for Anderson, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Kings will head out on the road to challenge Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Anderson, they will host Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raptors will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
