Football Recap: Wilson Takes a Loss

Wilson extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-6. They were outmatched by the Eagle Rock Eagles and fell 49-7. While losing is never fun, the Mules can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 891st, while the Eagles are ranked 432nd).

As for Eagle Rock, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.9 points on average over those games.

Eagle Rock had a senior duo take command as Liam Pasten threw for 191 yards and five TDs and Melion Busano gained 109 total yards and two touchdowns.

Wilson has already played their next contest, a 23-0 defeat against Marshall on the 30th. As for Eagle Rock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 41-14 loss against Garfield on the 30th.
