Shae Downing posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. She struck out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off six hits.

Downing and Colcord will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wyandotte at 6:00 p.m. on December 5. The Hornets have some work to do to even out the 1-9 series between these two since August of 2018, but a win here would be a good start.
